About Us

The Goddard’s Pies business was founded in 1890 by Alfred Goddard in Evelyn Street, Deptford, London. Here, Alfred set up his first pie mash and liquor shop which was so popular during the late 1800’s. These shops provided hot, filling food for manual workers and the prices were very affordable.

From those humble beginnings Goddard’s Pies has grown to become a manufacturer of handmade pies and desserts for the wholesale market both in the UK and overseas. After 18 months of searching, in 2009 Jeff and Kane Goddard secured a new 4,500 sqft commercial space in Borough Green, Kent and with school friend and business partner Sean Horton, began establishing Goddard’s Pies as a wholesale pie manufacturer. It took 3 months for our custom designed kitchen and storage facilities to be built and in April 2010 our brand new pie factory opened. Our core values remain the same and all of our pies are hand made using traditional techniques and quality ingredients.

Since that time we have grown organically as more people become aware of us and enjoy the unique taste of a Goddard’s pie. In April 2012 Goddards at Greenwich opened, our traditional pie and mash restaurant in Greenwich town centre serving Goddard’s pies and desserts.

We are dedicated to supplying the trade and our range of pie and mash and handmade pies are now being delivered and consumed all over the UK.

UK distribution

We are currently distributing throughout the UK. Our location gives us easy access to London and the M25 with wholesalers and freight carriers delivering further afield.
